Elite Dog Training provides dog training in the Hackney area using kind, scientifically proven, force-free methods that make learning enjoyable and effective for both dogs and their owners. Training focuses on encouraging engagement and cooperation, without the use of force, fear, or pain. These methods are suitable for a wide range of needs, from basic obedience through to more complex behavioural challenges.
Training at Elite is built around understanding each dog as an individual and communicating clearly and confidently to develop a relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Force-free training does not mean a lack of structure or boundaries; instead, it means teaching with clarity, consistency, and compassion rather than relying on outdated “alpha” or dominance-based approaches often portrayed in the media.
Elite’s trainers work with dogs daily, both professionally and personally. Since 2008, the team has gained extensive hands-on experience through running a large and successful dog walking, day care, and pet sitting service. This has involved working with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, both individually and in group settings, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met in a safe, positive environment.
Elite Dog Training does not use prong collars, shock collars, choke chains, or any tools or techniques based on force, fear, or intimidation. The team does not follow dominance-based theories and is able to work effectively with all dogs using humane, evidence-based methods. Owners are supported throughout their training journey with clear guidance and practical resources where helpful.
Dogs of any age or breed are welcome, and Elite is happy to support owners who may have previously used aversive methods. All trainers are experienced cross-over trainers who, through education and practical experience, have chosen to work exclusively with positive, reward-based training because it delivers better outcomes for both dogs and their people.

Session Planning
|
Every session will be planned out prior to starting, ensuring every pre-discussed issue is addressed. Further sessions may be recommended as many behavioural problems require multiple sessions to achieve the desired result. You may be given help sheets to guide you through training once the trainer leaves.
What do I need for the session? For most home visits your dog will not require any specific equipment. In some training sessions your dog will require a well fitted plain nylon / leather collar or harness and lead. No chains please as they can cause injury and aren't always practical for training scenarios. If you are unsure or do not have these, please let your trainer know at the time of booking. Any other equipment will be supplied by your trainer for the duration of the lesson.
